As well as loving the music of the pre-fame Beatles, Backbeat are also keen gear collectors and have collected a number of both vintage and reproduction guitars and basses as well as a late 1950’s drum kit. Given the unavailability of late 50’s amps here in Australia at a sensible price, Backbeat took to the workbench and manufactured ‘handwired’ replicas of the amps used by the Beatles in their Cavern and Hamburg days.
